Reginapolis.: So, we've gotten 17 copyright removal notices today.
F this noise! I can see taking down her songs, esp. those on her albums, (though she has her first 4 streaming on her site) but images? Yeah, I guess give credit to the photographer/ publication/source material, her website/fb/myspace (ha!). but to have ppl take down free material—pics from online mags and her own website, citing the source material—is malarkey! Sorry for the salty language, I’m super miffed. ; ) and I don’t think it matters if Regina says it’s ok to share her music, not sure about material from her pre-record deal days, the record company owns her music as well, as they paid her to be able to make it. In conclusion, I understand what these dickshits are doing: they’re trying to avoid being sued for the content hosted on their sites. Someone representing ‘Regina Spektor’ and ‘Warner Brothers’ must really hate us. 17 notices today and 6 yesterday. What’s confusing is that there’s no information about what content or copyright we have supposedly violated, because all the emails go like this:
Hello,
Regina Spektor has…
